Registrar portals show course sections as lists, not a picture of your week — so students end up sketching timetables on paper just to spot a Tuesday clash or a four-hour gap. This visual class schedule planner fixes that. Paste each candidate section (label, meeting days, start and end time, optional credits), and the tool lays them out on a Monday–Sunday timetable grid, draws overlapping blocks striped and outlined red, and tells you instantly whether your week is conflict-free or how many time conflicts it found. It also reports idle gaps, tight transitions, total credits with a full-time/overload advisory, and your weekly contact hours.
You add three sections. BIOL 101 — Sec 002 meets MWF 9:00–9:50 (3 credits). PSYC 210 — Sec 001
meets MW 9:30–10:45 (3 credits). CHEM 110 — Sec 004 meets TR 14:00–15:15 (4 credits).
BIOL and PSYC share Monday and Wednesday, and 9:00–9:50 overlaps 9:30–10:45 because 9:00<10:45 AND
9:30<9:50 — overlap = min(9:50,10:45) − max(9:00,9:30) = 9:50 − 9:30 = 20 minutes. So the status banner turns
red: “1 time conflict found,” with the line “BIOL 101 (Sec 002) overlaps PSYC 210 (Sec 001) on Mon & Wed
9:30–9:50 AM, 20 min overlap.” CHEM 110 shares no day with the others, so it never conflicts. Total credits = 3 + 3 + 4 =
10, which is flagged below full-time (under 12). Drop PSYC 210 or move BIOL earlier and the banner
flips to “Conflict-free ✓.”

It compares every pair of sections. Two clash only when they share a meeting day AND their clock-time intervals overlap. The test uses strict inequalities, so a class ending at 9:50 and another starting at 9:50 do not conflict (half-open interval [start, end)). For each clash it reports the shared day(s), the overlapping window, and the overlap minutes.
No. This checks time-grid conflicts only. Conflict-free means no two sections overlap in clock time on a shared weekday — necessary but not sufficient for a valid registration. It does not check seats, prerequisites, holds, or whether a section is open. Confirm in your registrar/SIS before and after enrolling.
Not by default — touching edges (one ends as the next starts) is not an overlap. Turn on the passing-time setting and enter a minimum gap to flag “tight transitions” when you need time to get across campus.
Total credits is the sum of each section's credits. Below 12 flags “below full-time,” above 18 flags “possible overload,” following common U.S. federal/Carnegie conventions. These are advisory — your school's exact limits may differ.
Almost always an AM/PM slip — e.g. a 1 PM class entered as 1:00 (= 01:00 AM). The tool uses a 24-hour input control and echoes each section back so you can verify. If a block lands in the wrong half of the day, re-check its times.
No. Asynchronous/online sections with no fixed time, TBA (arranged) meetings, one-time exams, and alternating-week labs can't be conflict-checked on a weekly grid. Leave them off or note them separately.
