The sizing rule

  1. Crate length = dog's length (nose to base of tail) + 2–4 inches.
  2. Crate height = dog's height (floor to top of head, sitting) + 2–4 inches.
  3. Round up to the next standard crate size so your dog can stand, turn, and lie down.
