Frequently asked questions

How do I find X% of a number?

Multiply the number by the percent divided by 100. For example, 20% of 150 = 150 × 0.20 = 30. Switch to the ‘% of a number’ mode and the tool does it for you.

How do I calculate percent change?

Subtract the old value from the new value, divide by the old value, then multiply by 100. A move from 80 to 100 is (100−80)/80 × 100 = +25%. Use the ‘% change’ mode.

Is it really free?

Yes — 100% free. Everything is calculated privately in your browser; nothing is stored or sold.
