• You are bound by what you publish. A seller must honor the policy they post; stating terms you won't follow (e.g. a "100% satisfaction guarantee") can trigger FTC disclosure duties and deception exposure.
• FTC Mail Order Rule. You must ship within the promised time or 30 days if none is stated, and refund or notify on delay. This tool references prompt refunds but does not replace shipping-time disclosures.
• Marketplace rules override yours where stricter. Etsy requires a policy on physical listings, Amazon enforces a 30-day minimum and may add its own return-processing fee, and eBay permits buyer-initiated returns despite "no returns." Reconcile the text with your platform's seller agreement.
• EU / UK buyers get a 14-day statutory cooling-off (right of withdrawal) on distance sales regardless of your stated window. The tool flags this but does not draft full EU-compliant wording.
