Most free weekly planners are static PDFs you can't type into, and single-day time-blockers can't show how Tuesday's crunch lines up against Thursday's gap. This interactive 7-day hourly grid fixes both. Pick your week start, day window (6 AM–11 PM by default), and slot size, then click a cell to drop a block, type what it is, drag to move it, and drag the bottom edge to resize. Color-code by category and the tool instantly totals hours blocked, free time, utilization, a per-category breakdown, and any double-booked conflicts — the whole week at a glance, on one page.
Window 6 AM–11 PM (18 visible hours/day, so 126 h across the week), 60-minute slots. You block a 9 AM–5 PM Work block Monday–Friday (8 h × 5 = 40 h), a Tue/Thu 6–8 PM School class (2 h × 2 = 4 h), and a Saturday 10 AM–12 PM Errand (2 h). Total blocked = 40 + 4 + 2 = 46.0 h, which is 46 ÷ 126 ≈ 37% of the visible week — the headline reads “46.0 hours blocked this week (37% of visible week).” The category breakdown shows Work 40 h (87%), School 4 h (9%), Errand 2 h (4%). If you accidentally drag a 2–3 PM Dentist block on top of the Tuesday work block, that hour is still counted once toward the 46 h total, but a conflict is flagged: “Tue 2:00–3:00 PM overlaps.”
This is a planning aid, not a clock or timesheet — totals reflect what you blocked, not what you actually did. Durations assume same-day blocks with no Daylight Saving Time and no time-zone math; every day is treated as a fixed-length visible window, so a real DST "spring forward" 23-hour day is not adjusted. Utilization is measured against the visible grid window (e.g. 6 AM–11 PM = 18 h/day), not a full 24-hour day — changing the start/end hours changes the denominator and the percentage. Overlap merging means double-booked time is counted once in the scheduled/utilization totals; the category breakdown does not merge across categories, so its sum can exceed the merged total when conflicts exist — by design, to expose the conflict. Hours show to 2 decimals and percentages to the nearest whole number, so per-day or per-category percentages may not sum to exactly 100% (rounding drift); the internal math uses unrounded minutes. The ~60% guidance is a time-blocking heuristic, not a hard limit. Everything is fully client-side: your week lives in this browser (in memory and local storage). Clearing browser data or using private mode can lose it — use Copy result, print to PDF, or the share link for a durable copy.

It draws a 7-day grid, one row per time slot from your day-start to day-end hour. Click a cell to add a block, type a title, drag to move, drag the bottom edge to resize — everything snaps to your slot size. It then totals hours blocked, free time, utilization, categories, and conflicts. Saves locally in your browser.
It's the share of the visible grid window you've blocked, not of a 24-hour day. A 6 AM–11 PM window is 18 h/day = 126 h/week. Blocking 38.5 h ≈ 31%. Changing the start/end hour changes the denominator. Double-booked time is counted once, so it never exceeds 100%.
Scheduled/utilization totals merge overlaps so double-booked time counts once. The category breakdown does not merge across categories — overlapping blocks of different categories each keep their time, to expose the conflict. So category hours can sum higher than the merged weekly total.
Not in this version. Each block stays on one day and must end after it starts. Split an overnight activity into two blocks — one ending at the day's end, one starting at the next day's beginning — so durations never go negative.
It saves to your browser's local storage on this device. It does not sync with Google Calendar or Outlook and sends no reminders. Clearing data or private mode can lose it — use Copy result, print to PDF, or the share link.
60 min matches the classic one-page hourly planner and reads easiest. Use 30 or 15 min for finer blocks. Changing the slot size does not resize existing blocks — they keep their exact minutes and only re-snap on the next edit.
Yes — 100% free. The whole grid runs privately in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
