Frequently asked questions

How do you calculate profit margin?

Profit margin = (revenue − cost) ÷ revenue × 100. A $100 sale costing $60 is $40 profit and a 40% margin.

What's the difference between margin and markup?

Margin is profit ÷ revenue; markup is profit ÷ cost. The same $40 profit on a $60 cost is a 40% margin but a 67% markup.

Is it really free?

Yes. 100% free, everything runs in your browser.
